Managing Devices

View Devices

Devices are listed under each child’s profile. Go to Children → select a child to see their enrolled devices.

Each device shows:

  • Device name (e.g. “Liam’s Laptop”)
  • Status: Active, Paused, or Offline
  • Last seen: When the agent last sent a heartbeat
  • Agent version: The installed agent version

Edit a Device

Click the Edit button on a device to open the edit modal with two tabs:

General Tab

  • Device name — Rename the device
  • Status — Set to Active or Paused

Agent Config Tab

  • Capture interval — How often screenshots are taken (seconds)
  • JPEG quality — Image compression level
  • Batch upload — Enable/disable batch mode
  • Batch size — Screenshots per batch
  • Upload delay — Bandwidth throttling (milliseconds between uploads)

Changes are synced to the agent on the next heartbeat (within 60 seconds).

Pause Monitoring

To temporarily stop monitoring a device without uninstalling:

  1. Edit the device
  2. Set status to Paused
  3. Save

The agent will stop capturing screenshots but continue sending heartbeats. Resume by setting the status back to Active.

Remove a Device

  1. Edit the device
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm

This deactivates the device in the system. To fully remove the agent, uninstall it from the device (see Windows Agent — Uninstall).
